Recognizing Authoritarian Trends in Modern Politics

About

The Cassandra Report was created to be a warning to the American people. Like Cassandra of Greek mythology, who was cursed to foresee disaster but never be believed, this blog sounds the alarm on government overreach, executive power expansion, and the slow erosion of civil liberties. By examining historical patterns and current events, The Cassandra Report urges Americans to recognize the warning signs before it’s too late—and to take action before history repeats itself once more.

Recognize

History repeats itself, and the first step to defending democracy is identifying the warning signs of authoritarian overreach. By drawing parallels between past and present, we expose the threats that others ignore.

Remember

Power thrives in secrecy. Through analysis of executive orders, government expansions, and historical patterns, we uncover the truth behind political maneuvers that endanger American freedoms.

Resist

Awareness is only the beginning—action is what drives change. By staying informed, challenging authority, and refusing to be complicit, we fight for the democracy that is slipping through our fingers

Our Name

In Greek mythology, Cassandra was blessed with the power to see the future but cursed so that no one would believe her warnings. She foresaw the fall of Troy, the destruction of her homeland, and the tragic consequences of unchecked power—but her cries went unheard until it was too late.

Today, history echoes her story. The Cassandra Report exists to expose the growing threats to American democracy, from executive overreach to the slow erosion of civil liberties. Like Cassandra, we see the warning signs. The question is: Will America listen before it’s too late?
